Sunday 2/28

  • Collection for Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge (Home for the Handicapped)
  • Women's Group Singing Practice at 11:30 - This group will  sing on Good Friday.  They will practice in the  intermediate Sunday School room.  Anyone who would like to sing in the group is welcome to come.

Tuesday 3/1 - Helping Hands from 9:00 - 3:00

Monday 3/7 - Church Cleaning at 6:00 -  If you can’t make it that evening, or would rather clean during the day, there will be opportunity starting at 8:30 Monday Morning. Or if you would rather help Saturday, please see one of the trustees. There is a food sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for anyone willing to bring food.

Saturday 3/12 - HarvestCall Informational Meeting at West Bend at 2:00 - For additional information there are pamphlets in the north hall or you can go to HarvestCall.org. If you would like a ride out to West Bend please contact Bro. Jim/Sis. Marge Braker or Bro. Tim/Sis. Cathy Hohulin by today.

Saturday 3/19 - Bible Class Spaghetti Supper - A signup sheet for food donations is on the women’s bulletin board.

Sunday 2/14 - Annual All-Church Potluck and Family Sing at the Fellowship Hall at 4:30 -
Meat and table service will be provided.  A donation to cover the cost of the meat will be accepted at the potluck.  Please bring a covered dish.  Everyone is welcome.  If you did not sign up earlier, please contact Bro. Andy or Sis. Kim Luginbuhl today to let them know you are coming so ample seating can be set up.

  • ACTIVE - Depart Commerce Bank at 6:30 for Goodfield - they’ll return to church by 8:30

Sunday 2/21 - ACYF in Morton at 6:00 - The Bible Class will meet at the High School at 3:30 and stop in Goodfield to eat at Busy Corner before going to Morton.  If anyone would like to attend, this will be the last ACYF event held in the current Morton church as they are in the process of building a new church.

Haiti Updates
  • Thank You from the Yordys - Words can’t express how grateful we are to you, for your generosity in helping bring us home this Christmas!  We had such a special time, spending the holidays with our family, and worshipping with our church family.  It is a time we will not soon forget, and a blessing we do not take for granted!  We are humbled and blessed by your love and support.  It's a special gift to be a part of such a loving church family.  We pray that the Lord will bless you far beyond what we could ask or imagine.  Thank you.  Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is a work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.”  
  • Travel Fund for Yordys - Checks should be made out to AC HarvestCall with “Yordy travel” in the memo. Checks should be given to Bro. Rich Bertschi or mailed to: AC HarvestCall, P.O. Box 227, Eureka, IL 61530 
  • Weekly Prayer and Letter Support - Signup sheet is on the women’s bulletin board.
  • Special Need for Suits - In addition to the construction project, the Roanoke Work Team will be assisting with weddings that are coordinated through the churches in Haiti.  There is a need for suites (waist 34 or smaller).  Please get them to Bro. Jonathan Hodel by Sunday 2/21

  • HarvestCall Collection
  • Signup Deadline for Small Group Bible Study on Joshua - This study is in a slightly different format than the previous studies and focuses on the events and lessons found in the book of Joshua. The winter session will be 16 sessions long, with each session lasting approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.  Each member and friend of our Roanoke church is again encouraged to participate.   You may sign up by the forms in the North Hall or by calling or e-mailing Bro. Jeremy Knepp

Saturday 4/16 - 2016 Midwest Food Bank Gala Dinner and Auction in Bloomington - The Roanoke committee is currently seeking homemade items, themed dinners or events, and business products or services as auctioned items. Cash donations will be used by the committee to purchase items for the gala. Tickets to the event are also available for $50 per person. Tables of up to 8 seats may be reserved for groups.  Please contact Bro. Jon & Sis. Jill Fehr or Bro. Roland & Sis. Carol Rumbold, for ticket reservations or donations.
