Monday/Tuesday 1/30-31 - Midwest Food Bank from 6:00 - 9:00 -  is needing help to install and build racking. This will be at the new warehouse on Warehouse Road in Normal. They are looking for men teenage and older. Please contact Bro. Mike Hoffman for more details.

Sunday 2/12 - All Church Potluck and Family Hymn Sing at the Fellowship Hall at 4:30 - Meat and table service will be provided.  A donation to cover the cost of the meat will be accepted. Please bring a covered dish.  Sign-up sheets are posted in the north hall and by the ladies restroom for these attending. To help plan for the proper amount of meat, please sign up by Wed, Feb 8th.

Cash donations can be used by the committee to purchase items for the gala or as Benefit sponsorships. Tickets to the event are also available for $50 per person. Mother Daughter Banquet - In lieu of the biannual Mother Daughter Banquet, another event is being planned later in the year. 

Small Group Bible Study on II Timothy - Each member and friend of our Roanoke church is again encouraged to participate. The winter session will begin about the third week of February and will be 8 sessions long, with each session lasting approximately 1hr. This study and format is similar to the Joshua Bible Study that was completed last year. We are excited to introduce this study which will carry on the discipleship and mentoring themes we have focused on recently. You may sign up by filling out a form in the North Hall or by calling or e-mailing Bro. Jeremy Knepp.

Nursing Home - The Home is looking for brothers who would consider giving their time to stop  in at the Home at noon to offer a prayer for our residents noon meal.  This could be an option of either 1 day a week or being on call as a sub.  Please contact Sis. Patsy Kaeb at the Nursing Home if you are interested.

Wednesday Evening Topical Bible Studies for 2017 - A Wednesday evening Bible Study schedule has been developed for 2017.  We will be having 2 consecutive series throughout the year, both on the topic of "The Gospel in the Old Testemant - Foreshadows of Christ."  The first 4-part series will begin this winter and the second 3-part series will be this fall.  We also anticipate having 3 other topics of interest during the months of April, May, and Sept.  The schedule will be emailed with the announcements and posted in the back hall.  The schedule is being sent now as a way to encourage our congregation to plan in advance for these studies.

1/8/17 Announcements

Wednesday 1/11 - HarvestCall Family Night at the Fellowship Hall From 5:30-8:00  - A meal is provided from 5:30-6:30.  There will be 3 different projects.  Families are encouraged to work together so parents & older children can assist the younger ones. This year, no baby sitting will be provided. Bro. Rob & Sis. Gina will tell about the Renault S.S.; Bro. Luke -water project & Sis. Leah will teach us a Creole song "It's an Honor to Serve"

Nursing Home Services - This winter, if church is cancelled due to inclement weather, then the Nursing Home will also cancel their service.
