Sunday 9/25/16
  • Berean Prison Ministry Collection- Today is the last day for collecting stamps for the Berean Prison Ministry. This ministry sends many Bibles and Bible studies to inmates around the country, making postage very costly. The ministry appreciates those who are taking part in grading these Bible studies. There is a basket in the North hall for the stamp collection. If you have any questions please contact Sisters: Donna or Rebekah Schwind.

Wednesday 9/28
  • ACTIVE will be in the Church Basement - they will to assemble health kits for HarvestCall
  • "Jesus interaction with his Opposition." by Bro. Randy Mogler/Washington - This is the first of a three part topical series on “Jesus Interaction with People”  The following two are:
  • "Jesus Interaction with the Poor"  - October 26  by Bro. Erik Givens/Princeville
  • "Jesus Interaction with the Hurting” - November 30  by Bro. Daren Metz/Gridley

Friday 9/30 - Young Group Wiener Roast at Bro. Greg Moser’s Home at 6:30

Saturday 10/1 - Testimonies at 7:00 - for Tyler Barth, Laura Bradle, Alexa Fischer, Elizabeth Moser and Nick Sizemore

  • Family Hymn Sing Postponed - The Family Hymn Sing which was scheduled for October 2nd has been postponed until October 30th - the date our church was dedicated 50 years ago.

Sunday 10/9 - All Church Open House Shower from 1:30 -3:00 - Sis. Mary Kate Fowler and Bro. Robers Mecidor plan to be married on January 1st in Roanoke and will be living in McAllen, Texas.  In lieu of the typical church shower, we will be hosting a joint "All-Church Open House" at the Roanoke fellowship hall for both the Roanoke and Gridley churches. Please SIGN UP on the bulletin board or email Sis. Cathy Hohulin at cathyntim@gmail.com by October 3rd if you plan to attend.  (Details are on the bulletin board and will also be sent by email.)

Saturday 9/24 - Covenant Chamber Choir at 7:00  - The Roanoke church will be a hosting a program by the Covenant Chamber Choir, a small group of singers from the states of Ohio, Indiana, & Michigan.  Congregational singing will begin at 7:00, followed by a program of songs by the choir.  We are extending an invitation to area churches to join us, and there will be a snack following the singing.  On Sunday, we look forward to worshipping with the choir and they plan to share a few songs after the morning service.

AED Device - The trustees have recently purchased a portable AED device with pads for adults and children. It is located in the storage room on the north east side (women's side) next to the copy machine.

Choir Practice - Two of our church choirs will be resuming practices this month:
  • The Youth Choir is for anyone between the ages of 3rd grade and Senior in high school.  They will begin practices on Sunday, September 18.
  • The Prairie Choristers welcomes all who would like to sing. They will begin practices on Wednesday, September 21.
Bro. Phil Hodel would like to encourage people to sing in the choirs. If anyone has questions or would like more information about them, please contact him at: plhodel@gmail.com

Monday 9/12 - “Striving for Sexual Purity” at the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 PM - Please sign up on the bulletin board by today so they can determine the number of handouts to print. We want to strongly encourage every man, young and old alike, to gather with us to hear Brothers Matt Kaufmann and Arlan Miller. Parental guidance is advised for those under age 14, but all men in our church are encouraged to come. If anyone has questions, please contact, Bros. Clark Leman or Fred Leman.

Saturday/Sunday 9/24-25 - Covenant Chamber Choir - Please mark your calendars for a special musical event in Roanoke. The Covenant Chamber Choir, a talented group of Apostolic Christian singers from the states of Ohio, Indiana, & Michigan, will be visiting Roanoke.  They will meet Saturday afternoon in Roanoke to practice and will present a performance on Saturday evening.  All of Roanoke church is welcome to come, as well as those from area churches.  If you would like to host a family with young children on overnight Saturday, please contact Sis. Jennifer Feucht.
Note:  This is typically the weekend Roanoke hosts invite-a-guest, which we will not be doing this year, due to the visit of the choir.

  • Deadline to Signup for Crown Financial Bible Study -  A sign-up sheet has been posted on the North hall bulletin board for those who may be interested in participating in the study.  For additional information, please contact Bro. Brad Hodel   bradsab@frontier.com
  • High School Worship on Wednesday (WOW) at 6:30 - The first meeting this year will be welcome wiener roast at Bro. Jon and Sis. Jill Fehr's home. All bible class students and their friends are welcome. Also a note that Bro. Chad and Sis. Brenda Martin will be replacing Bro. Scott and Sis. Bev Luginbuhl as WOW coordinators. We want to thank the Luginbuhls for their past service to the WOW ministry.

Saturday 9/10 - Ladies Day from 8:30-4:00 - with registration and a coffee bar from 8:00-8:30. If you missed the sign-up and would like to come, please contact Sis. Kathy Sauder by tomorrow evening, September 5. We're looking forward to a special day of sharing, interaction, and fellowship.
