Wednesday 4/21

  • ACTIVE will Meet Outside the CountryView Apts at 7pm

  • HOPE will Meet in the Bible Class Room at 7:30

  • WOW will Meet at the Beer’s at 7:00

 

Saturday 4/24 - Ballots must be received by Bro. Trent Meiss by Saturday 4/24 (they should be in the mail by this Wed. or Thurs..  If you need additional time to vote, you can hand your ballots to Bros Kent Heimer, Trent Meiss and Frank on the 25th.) Please be prayerful for this process. 

 

Sunday 4/25

  • 2nd Service - “Footsteps Worth Following” - Bro. Jonathan - “We seek to be like Jesus in thought, action, and character, and to live the entire counsel of his Word.” - (GP B)

  • ACYF in Tremont - Bible class students should meet at the church at 7:55 am. There will be a song program at 12:15 before afternoon services. The students' families are invited. Please let Sis Allison Fischer know by today if your family is going so she can let Tremont know for church lunch planning. 

 

Saturday 5/1 - Testimonies at 7:00 - for David Bertschi, Dexter Hodel, Broc Martin (baptisms on Sunday 5/2 after the second service)

 

Wednesday 5/6 - National Day of Prayer Eve Service at 7:30

 

VBS - We are looking forward to our Summer Vacation Bible School June 7th - 11th. This is an activity that brings many opportunities to serve. Please use the link below to access a sign-up sheet for the week. If you have any questions regarding the sign-up or Vacation Bible School for grades 3 years old - 8th grade, please contact Sis. Moving Forward - From the March elder meeting, the elders encouraged local church planning around parameters such as schedule, lunch design, and general logistics. To this point, the trustees and Sunday School superintendents are on a joint team to assess what this might look like for our local church.  The schedule for the next 8 weeks will be to maintain our current times of 9:45am start of singing, 10:45 lunch, and 11:45am start of shorter second service concluding with church ending around 12:30.   Please remember our local church planning project team in your prayers.

  • 2nd Service - Our Church, Our Community - This is the first of a series to introduce our church’s guiding principles.  The ministers plan to take a unique approach to teach each principle.  

  • Ballots Due Today - Ministers will count ballots after church today. Ballots must be in the box or texted/emailed to Bro. Frank by 12:30.  

 

Wednesday

  • Exhortation on Seeking a Minister (depending on ballot results)

  • HOPE will Meet in the Bible Class Room at 7:30 - They will meet each Wed. evening through April. 

 

Friday 4/16 - Nursing Home Fish Fry 4:30 - 7:00 - For those who signed up to make cookies they are to be 3.5” - 4”, individually bagged and dropped off at the multipurpose room by 11:00 AM on Friday.   • Cemetery Maintenance Position - Anyone interested in this position should contact Bro. Greg Moser or Bro Rich Bertschi.

  • Nursing Home - We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills to serve as a part-time Volunteer and Visitation Coordinator (one position) for the Home.  This position will be responsible for coordinating our volunteers, maintaining our visitation schedule, and monitoring our screening process for staff and visitors.  If you feel this is a way you could serve our residents or would like to learn more about this position, please contact Bro. Nate Hoffman at the Home.

  • Apostolic Christian Bookstore - 1-2 mornings per week from 8:30-11:30. Additional information is on the bulletin board.

Seeking Help in the Ministry - Please be prayerful as we begin this process.  The tentative schedule is:

  • 4/4 - 4/11 Church will ballot if this is the right time to seek help in the ministry  (ballot attached below)

  • 4/14 The church will be informed of the results and if there is support an exhortation will be given

  • 4/15 Ballots will be mailed out and need to be returned to Bro. Trent Meiss by Saturday 4/24

  • 4/25 Bros Kent Heimer, Trent Meiss and Frank will count the ballots

Thanks - Bro Rol & Sis Carol Rumbold would like to thank everyone for the many prayers they received during Rol’s illness. Bro Rol is thankful to be back home and has been gaining strength. Bro Rol feels it is now time he relinquish his duties in the Roanoke Cemetery. The trustees would like to thank Bro Rol for his many years of service in keeping up the cemetery. Anyone interested in taking over the cemetery maintenance position should contact Bro. Greg Moser or Bro Rich Bertschi.
