Tuesday 4/3 - Helping Hands from 9:00 - 3:00  - Non-sewing opportunity this month is unpacking and sorting a large number of items for Haiti kits. Knotting comforters is an ongoing project. If you can stay all day, bring a lunch.

Saturday 4/7 - Cemetery Cleanup at 8:00 AM - Please bring rakes, weed trimmers, small chain saws and large garbage containers.

Friday 4/13 -  Ladies' Night -  Please join us for an inspiring evening of encouragement and sharing as we reflect on Christ, who gives us strength. All ladies attending Roanoke church, high school age and above, are welcome to come to this special evening at the fellowship hall from 6:45-9:00. Please sign up on the sign up sheet on the bulletin board or RSVP to kathleensauder@gmail.com  by April 4.

Sat-Sun 4/14-15 - College Weekend in Roanoke Hosted by ICC/Bradley Young Group -college-aged students from our network of churches will be having a series of speakers and service projects at the church and fellowship hall on Saturday, and then they will be worshiping with us on Sunday. The young group would like to have a few back-up houses to accommodate students in case more come than planned. If you are interested in providing accommodations or know of any projects the students could do, please see sis. Lydia Luginbuhl by next Sunday.

Roanoke Home Job Opening - there is a need for a full-time Environmental Services Aide which includes assisting in the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.  If you are interested in this position or would like more information, contact Brother Nate Hoffman.

  • Good Friday Services - will begin at our regular time of 7:30 p.m. In addition to a message, the Prairie Choristers and Men's Group will sing.
  • Ballots for Elder are to be Mailed to Bro. Ron Messner

Sunday 4/1 - Easter Sunday Services - there will be an early morning service, beginning at 7:30 a.m. There will be a message and songs from the Prairie Choristers, Men’s Group and the Youth Choir. A breakfast will follow and then morning church will be held at our regular time, with the song service starting at 9:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday school, lunch or afternoon service.

Javon Steffen javonicole@gmail.com by April 1st.

Sunday 4/22 - Invite-a-Guest - All are welcome to participate by inviting guests from another congregation to Roanoke church for the day.  There will be potluck supper at 4:00 at the Fellowship Hall, with a singing will promptly follow the supper.  Sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin boards.  Any questions can be directed to Sis. Jennifer Feucht.

 Thursday 3/22 - Heart House Spaghetti Supper and Bake Sale from 3:30-7:30  - It will be in the Heart House Community Room.  A Sign up sheet is in the hall to bring breads or yeast rolls. Bring them to the Heart House by noon March 22nd. If you would rather bake something else, they would appreciate any baked item.

Friday 3/23 - Bible Class Team Departs for Jamaica for a Week -  They will be leaving Roanoke church at 2am Friday and returni the following Friday evening. Please keep them in your prayers.

  • Leadership Transition - This afternoon, Bros Ron Messner and Kent Heimer will share with the congregation regarding the next steps in seeking new leadership for our Roanoke Church and to share scripture related to qualifications for church leadership.  This is an open meeting and we encourage all members and friends to be present.
  • Reception for Ben and Nelly Mangold from 1:30 - 3:00 at the Fellowship Hall - Everyone is invited.  
  • March Family Hymn Sing and Scripture Memory Program at 6:30 -  Pizza will be served in the dining room at 5:30.  Donations will be accepted tonight to cover the cost of pizza. The scripture memory kids should report to the basement at 6:15.  Congregational singing will begin at 6:30.
 Wednesday 3/14 - The 6th of a 7 Part Bible Study on the Book of Hebrews - Bro. Jonathan will speak on “Endurance of Faith”  (Heb 12)

Thank You - The trustees would like to thank all those that helped with the house cleaning of the church. The cleaning went well and we appreciate your hard work.

3/4/18 Announcements

Sunday 3/4 -  Nursing Home Collection - The Roanoke Nursing Home is in need of a new phone system as they are experiencing ongoing problems with their outdated equipment .  The have started a fundraising campaign in the community to raise $50,000 to purchase and install this new phone system.  Donations from the upcoming collection for the Nursing Home will be used specifically for this project.  If you have any questions, you can contact Bro. Nate Hoffman for details.

Due to the logistics of their move it is requested that cash or Amazon gift cards be given(they can be done online also).  Ben & Nelly  each have been living in barracks for the past year and once they get to Germany all household items will need to be purchased. Both Amazon and IKEA are nearby therefore no international shipping charges will be applied.
  • Scripture Memory Program at 6:30. This program is in place of the March Family Hymn Sing.  Pizza will be served in the dining room at 5:30. There are sign up sheets outside the women’s restroom. Please sign up by Wednesday, March 7th so we can plan accordingly for pizza. Donations will be accepted that night to cover the cost of pizza.
