Saturday 1/11 - Birthday Celebration - Ladies’ Coffee at the Fellowship Hall 9:00-11:00 - Join us for a morning of coffee, devotions and fellowship as we celebrate our birthdays and re-birthdays. Bring your thoughts on special birthday traditions and/or your testimony of your spiritual rebirth in Jesus.

Sunday 11/24 - Creating Connections Meeting in the Bible Class Room after Church - There is a meeting for adults participating in the Creating Connections. If you are unable to attend, contact Sis. April to get your materials.

Thursday 11/28 - Thanksgiving Day Service at 9:45 - All are invited to come to the service and lift our voices in praise: “Our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.” (I Chron 29:13). The song leaders have prepared a selection of hymns we will sing during the service.

Goodfield Distribution Center - Effective January 1, 2020, the Goodfield Distribution Center is discontinuing its furniture distribution effort. Any questions concerning furniture and/or mattress distribution should be directed to Bro. Matt Sauder. Also, there is a great need for clothing, shoes, pillows, and bed sheets to send overseas, they are running low.

Cakes for the Home - There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for those who wish to donate cakes to the Nursing Home during the year 2020.

HarvestCall’s 2020 Winter Rebuilding Ministry will be in Orange County, Texas - Forty volunteers are needed each week starting January 5, 2020 and continuing through March 27, 2020. Please consider giving of your time and talents to minister to those in need. Skilled tradesmen AND unskilled workers are needed, as are those with a passion to share the gospel with those we serve. Online registration is required for team members and opens at noon Central time Monday, November 18 at www.harvestcall.org

10/27/19 Announcments


Sunday 10/27 - Peoria Rescue Mission Services - We plan to leave from the church parking lot (west side) at 7:15.  The service starts at 8 AM, allowing time to get back in time for our regular morning services.  If you have questions, please ask Bros. Tim Martin or Jonathan Hodel.

Thursday 10/31 - Annual Harvest Party at the Fellowship Hall from 7:00 - 8:30 - - The Roanoke Young Group would like to invite all Sunday School students 3 year olds through 8th grade to the annual Harvest Party! There will be games, singing, and snacks! Each student is to bring 1 pound of individually wrapped candy.  We will mix them all and give everyone a pound of assorted candies to take home. Hope to see all there!

Victory Home Care Job Openings - Victory Home Care has an immediate need for home caregivers.  Daytime and overnight shifts are available.  If you are interested, please see Bro. Nate or call the office (309-242-5316).

Creating Connections - A New Initiative for the Bible Class and Church - The Bible Class will be starting a new program called Creating Connections which is modeled after a program that was started in the Morton Church. Basically, a high school student will be matched with a member of the church (aka Faith Friend).  To start off with, they will meet one on one, once a month, from January through May. A few ideas for meeting are; going on a walk/bike ride, out to eat, or work on a project.  Any members wanting to participate should contact Sis. April Hartter by next Sunday, October 27th.  We will have a meeting on October 27th to go over the details with the Bible Class students during Sunday School (parents are welcome).  There will be a detailed meeting for the Faith Friends later in November.
