Sunday 2/25 - Apostolic Christian Life Points Collection -  Life Points has been blessed by the support and love of the brotherhood since 1971 when the agency started services which allows them to serve those in need.  The financial support of this church is greatly appreciated.

·        H.O.P.E. Will Meet at the Fellowship Hall at 7:30 to Set Up for the Spaghetti Supper

Saturday 3/3 - Annual Bible Class Spaghetti Supper from 4:00 -6:30 -  There are still some needs for both food donations and event help. A sign up sheet is on the North Hall bulletin board and will be removed after church today. They appreciate everyone's support.

Sunday 3/4 -  Nursing Home Collection - The Roanoke Nursing Home is in need of a new phone system as they are experiencing ongoing problems with their outdated equipment .  The have started a fundraising campaign in the community to raise $50,000 to purchase and install this new phone system.  Donations from the upcoming collection for the Nursing Home will be used specifically for this project.  If you have any questions, you can contact Bro. Nate Hoffman for details.

Sunday 3/11
·        Leadership Transition - Bros Ron Messner and Kent Heimer will be with us to share with the congregation regarding the next steps in seeking new leadership for the Roanoke Church and to share scripture related to qualifications for church leadership.  This open meeting will be in place of our afternoon service  and we encourage all members and friends to be present.
·        Reception for Ben and Nelly Mangold from 1:30 - 3:00 at the Fellowship Hall - Everyone is invited.   It is however unclear when they will each report to Germany. If they cannot be here for the 11th, there will be a box available at church that day to collect cards to be sent to them in a Wedding Box.  Due to the logistics of their move it is requested that cash or Amazon gift cards be given(they can be done online also).  Ben & Nelly  each have been living in barracks for the past year and once they get to Germany all household items will need to be purchased. Both Amazon and IKEA are nearby therefore no international shipping charges will be applied.
·        Scripture Memory Program at 6:30. This program is in place of the March Family Hymn Sing.  Pizza will be served in the dining room at 5:30. There are sign up sheets outside the women’s restroom. Please sign up by Wednesday, March 7th so we can plan accordingly for pizza. Donations will be accepted that night to cover the cost of pizza.

Saturday 4/14 - The 2018 Midwest Food Bank Gala Dinner and Auction in Normal - The deadline for the Midwest Food Bank Gala Auction donations and tickets is March 1st. More information is posted on the bulletin board. This annual event is the primary fundraiser for the organization. The Roanoke committee appreciates your support.  Please contact Bro. Jon or Sis. Sunday 4/22 - Invite-a-Guest - Please mark your calendars and invite others to worship with us. There will be a potluck supper at 4:00 at the Fellowship Hall, followed by a singing. Sign-up sheets with more information will be posted on the bulletin boards in March.

Save the Date - Ladies’ Night, for all women attending Roanoke Church, will be Friday, April 13 from 6:45 - 9:00 at the Fellowship Hall.  More details will follow. .

  • The 5th of a 7 Part Bible Study on the Book of Hebrews - Bro. Matt will speak on “The Perseverance of Faith”  (Heb 10:19-11:40)
  • W.O.W.  is Cancelled
  • H.O.P.E. at the Fellowship Hall
  • A.C.T.I.V.E will Volunteer at the Midwest Food Bank from 6:30-8:30 - Please meet at the Commerce bank at 6pm. The boys will be brought home afterward.

Sunday 2/11
  • ACYF Evening Program in Tremont -The Bible Class plans to meet at the Roanoke High School at 4:30
  • Annual All-Church Potluck and Family Sing at the Fellowship Hall at 4:30- Meat and table service will be provided. A donation to cover the cost of the meat will be accepted. Please bring a covered dish to share. There is still time to sign up to attend. Please see Bro. Dave or Sis. Barb Schwind today to sign up.
Wednesday 2/14 - The 4th of a 7 Part Bible Study on the Book of Hebrews - Bro. John will speak on “The Ministry of Christ…The Sanctuary and Sacrifice.”  It would be good to read Heb. 9:1-10:18 before Wednesday evening.  

Friday 2/15 - The Roanoke Work Team Leaves for Haiti - to assist with the construction work.   They will spending their time working on school roofs and will have opportunity to interact with the Yordy family.  Please be prayerful for safe travel and that they could be a blessing to the Haitian people.

Saturday 2/17
  • Bible Class Volunteers at the Loaves and Fish Ministry in Peoria - They will meet at the Roanoke High School at 8:30am. The students and teachers should bring several canned goods to help the church's grocery program.
  • ICC/Bradley Y.G. Benefit Dinner at Morton Fellowship Hall from 5:00 - 7:00 - This benefit supports their mission trip this March to HarvestCall’s South Carolina Rebuilding Project.  There will be 8 from our congregation going on this trip. For additional information or to send donations, please see the flier on the bulletin board or contact Sis. Lydia Luginbuhl.

  • Men’s Singing Group - will be holding their first practice at 11:30 today in the Bible Class room. If you would like to sing with them, but did not receive an email, please go to this practice and let Bro. Phil know.
  • HarvestCall Collection - Many hurting people throughout the world languish in spiritual and material poverty. By working together as a brotherhood through HarvestCall, we can offer assistance and hope by proclaiming Christ and serving others in the U.S., Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, Europe and other places, striving to see that God is glorified as despair and suffering are alleviated, hearts and minds are transformed, and churches are established and nurtured. Your generosity is important and necessary to meet the needs of the various missions of our brotherhood. Thank you for your faithful love, prayers, and benevolence.

2017 Financial Reports - The financial reports from all of the various committees are ready for your review. You will be getting an electronic copy attached to this weeks announcements and there are are also paper copies of all 8 reports on the tables in the North hall.

Thank You from the Home - The nursing home Administration and Board of Directors would like to sincerely thank each one of you that donated to the Home this past year.  God Bless You for your generosity.  As you will see on the financial summary that was emailed out, your donations had a profound impact on our total debt load.  We ask that you please continue to pray that God will guide and direct our efforts as we strive to fulfill our mission and service to our church and community.
