Friday 3/2 - Bro. Zach Bertsch at Gridley’s Fellowship Hall
Bro. Zach Bertsch from Bluffton Indiana will be presenting an inspiration message on how God is using his battle with cancer to shape him and others around him. This will be held at the Gridley Fellowship Hall at 7:00 on Friday night, March 2nd. Additional information is posted on the bulletin board.

Sunday 3/4 - TimberRidge Collection
The collection for the Apostolic Christian TimberRidge Home for the Handicapped is next Sun, March 4.

Monday 3/5 - Annual Church Cleaning
The annual church cleaning will be Mon., March 5 at 6 PM.  You may also help during the day,(anytime between 9and 3) if it is more convenient.  A food sign-up sheet is on the west bulletin board.  Ever one is encouraged to lend a helping hand.

Sunday 3/11 - Family Hymn Sing (Mortonaires)
There will be a family hymn sing on Sunday, March 11th at 6:30 pm.  The Mortonaires plan to be with us.  There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for refreshments and kitchen help.

Monday 3/12 - Fellowship Hall Cleaning
Fellowship Hall Cleaning is scheduled for Monday, March 12th at 6:00 PM.  Please bring buckets, rags, ladders, and sweepers.   Also, at 9:00 on the 12th, women are needed to clean the kitchen.  If you can help please notify Sis. Linda Pfister ahead of time.  In the PM younger men are needed to help wash out all the light fixtures.  The fellowship hall committee would appreciate help with this.  They will not call anyone to help so they hope to have a good turnout.

Men’s Seminar

The Men’s Seminar will be held Saturday, March 24th, from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm.  It is appropriate for any man, high school aged and older, both converted and unconverted. Details are posted on the sign up sheet on the bulletin board as well as the church website.  Under the ministry tab, you can download the syllabus and complete on-line registration.  Please sign up by Sunday March 11th to allow us to plan for food and seating.

Sunday 2/19 - Sis Arlene Hinrichsen’s Visitation
Sis. Arlene Hinrichsen passed away.  She is the mother of Bro. Mark Hinrichsen and a sister to Bro. Gene Fehr.   Her visitation is today at the Goodfield Fellowship Hall from 1:00- 4:00 and her funeral will be Monday at the Goodfield church.

Sunday 2/19 - Hymn Sing at the Nursing Home at 1:30
The monthly Hymn Sing at the Nursing Home is today immediately after church.  This is a great way to help support our nursing home.

Wednesday 2/22 - Last Day to Sign up for Small Group Bible Study
This Wednesday is last day to sign up for the 3 week small group Bible Study on Spiritual Gifts.

Saturday 3/10 - Bible Class Spaghetti Supper
There are sign up sheets for food donations for the Bible Class Spaghetti Supper for anyone that is willing to donate as well as a job sign up sheet for Bible Class parents on the bulletin board by the women's restroom .Thanks in advance for all who are willing to help .

Saturday 3/10 - World Relief Informational Meeting at Oakville
The Annual World Relief Informational Meeting will be held at the Oakville Fellowship Center on Saturday 3/10 at 9:00.  To help them plan for the day please add your name to the list on the bulletin board if you would like to attend.  They would like a reply back by Feb. 24th.


Silver Lining
If anyone has any address changes for the Silver Lining, or any additions to or deletions from the current Silver Lining subscription list, please notify Sis. Jamie Hodel or Sis. Judy Sauder by the end of February.

Hallway Lighting Project

Winter World Relief Projects
The USA Winter WR projects are taking place in two locations this year and there is a need for additional volunteers.  This year’s projects are in Cullman, Alabama (near Athens) and Bastrop, Texas (near Austin).  We have churches in both of these locations.  If you are able to sign up to help during February or March, please visit the ACWR website.

2/12/2012 Announcements


Monday 2/12 - Hall Lighting Project
The hallway ceiling renovation is scheduled to begin tomorrow morning.  The baby room and three hallways will not be useable Wednesday evening.  Please use the north entrance doors on each side.

Sunday 2/12 - All-Church Potluck and Family Sing
The annual All-Church Potluck and Family Sing will be this afternoon at 4:30 at the Fellowship Hall. Meat and table service will be provided. A donation to cover the cost of the fried chicken and sliced ham will be accepted at the potluck. Please bring a covered dish. Everyone is welcome! But if you did not sign-up earlier, please see Bro. Mike or Sis. Nancy Hoffman today to let them know you are coming so ample seating can be set up.

Wednesday 2/15 - High School Students
The Worship on Wednesday group will meet at Bro. Dave Leman’s house at 6:45 this Wednesday.  The group will travel to Mika’s in Eureka.  Those students who cannot drive to Mika’s will be given a ride from Leman’s house to Mika’s and then home from Mika’s.

Friday 2/17 - Topical Bible Study by Bro. Kevin Knapp “Identifying your Spiritual Gifts”
Bro. Kevin Knapp will be presenting a topical Bible Study on Spiritual Gifts this Friday at 7:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall.  This presentation is for everyone in the church.  For those who would like to participate in the three session Spiritual Gifts small group Bible Study, please sign up no later than Wednesday the 22nd.

Bible Class Spaghetti Supper

Silver Lining

Bro. Rich Knepp
Bro. Rich was able to move to the apartment on Friday.  Even though he is out of the hospital, there are many obstacles ahead.  While extremely weak, his faith is strong.  Bro. Rich and Sis. Janet also wanted to convey their appreciation for all the cards and prayers and they send everyone their love and gratitude,

Winter Small Group Bible Studies - “Identifying and Developing Your Spiritual Gifts
●     Our small group Bible studies have been a blessing and learning experience. To keep us all growing and in the Word, a winter/spring session on “Identifying and Developing Your Spiritual Gifts” is being planned. Each member and friend of our Roanoke church is again encouraged to participate. The session will begin on February 17 with a one evening teaching seminar by Bro. Kevin Knapp and will be followed up by 3 sessions of small group studies, with each session lasting approximately 1hrour and 15 minutes. ●     Additional Small Group Studies
○     We are again offering the studies that we have done in the past, if there are enough that sign up. The additional studies will start after the Spiritual gifts study and are: James, Titus, Philippians, Biblical Financial Study By Crown Financial, and Spiritual Headship for men.

Sunday 2/5 - Mission Collection
            Today’s collection is for the Mission Fund

Sunday 2/5 - Bro. Perry Zimmerman’s Visitation
Former elder Bro. Perry Zimmerman (the brother of Sis. Betty Hodel) passed away. His visitation is today from 2-8 in Forrest and his funeral will be at 10:00 on Monday.

Monday 2/6 - Hall Lighting Project
We plan to begin replacing the ceiling and lights in the baby room, the father’s room, and nursing room tomorrow. These areas plus the south hall will not be available this Wednesday evening,  but we hope to use them next Sunday, the 12th. We then plan to start on the 3 hallways Monday, the 13th, and hope to have the south hall and access to the baby room ready to use on Sunday, the 19th.  We will keep the congregation informed as the project proceeds.

Tuesday 2/7 - Helping Hands
Helping Hands will meet Tues. Feb. 7th in the church basement.  Come anytime between 9:00 & 3:00.

Wed.-Fri 2/8-10 - Elders’ Conference
            The Winter Elders’ Conference is in Sabetha, Kansas.  Please keep their meeting in your prayers.

The annual financial reports and the Schedule Cards are available in the north hall.

Lord willing, Bro. Rich may be discharged to an apartment.  Please send cards to their home address and their children will take them up to them.
