● Family Hymn Sing at the Nursing Home has been cancelled
● ISU/Heartland/Wesleyan Student Welcome - The Bloomington Church will be hosting a Welcome Day and Dinner for new and returning ISU, Heartland, and Wesleyan students and their families. Dinner will be at 4:30pm at the Bloomington church.
Tuesday 8/19 - Midwest Food Bank from 6:30 - 8:30 PM - It’s Roanoke’s turn volunteer at Midwest Food. A group of 20-25 is needed to complete the project. It’s always helpful to let Bro. Mike or Sis. Nancy Hoffman know you’re coming but last minute walk-ins are always welcome.
Sunday 8/24 - Fellowship Hall Maintenance Fund Collection
Sunday 9/21 - Invite a Guest - Roanoke church will be hosting an Invite-a-Guest on Sunday, September 21st. All are welcome to participate by inviting a guest, couple, or family from another congregation to Roanoke church for the day. There will be a potluck supper at 4:00 at the Fellowship Hall, and a singing will promptly follow the supper. Sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin boards. Any questions can be directed to Sis. Cathy Hohulin or Sis. Jennifer Feucht.
Nursing Home Benefit
● Please check the bulletin board by the women’s restroom for various jobs available during the week of the benefit. If you have any questions, contact Sis. Patsy Kaeb at the Home.
● A new sign up sheet has been posted for moms to take a half hour shift in the play area at the nursing home benefit childrens area. If you have any questions, contact Sis.Annette Fischer
● Next Thursday evening any men or boys that can come help set up tables and chairs under the tents at 6:30 would be greatly appreciated. It usually only takes about an hour.
