Sunday 8/16
  • 3 Year Old Sunday School Class - Today is the last day to sign up 3 yr old Sunday School students so they can be added to the Sunday School roster for this year. . They need to  be 3 years old before Sept. 1st.
  • Family Hymn Sing at the Nursing Home at 1:30
  • “The New Beginnings” Presentation at the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 - Gridley Church has been invited to join our Roanoke Church to learn about “The New Beginnings,” a program to assist single moms in the Ft. Myer’s, Florida area.  Bro. Dustin Hodel, the administrative assistant, will be giving the presentation.
  • The Yordy Family - Today is the last Sunday for the Yordys to worship with us before they head back to Haiti on Monday. 

Tuesday 8/17 – Midwest Food Bank 6:30-8:30 - This Tuesday evening is Roanoke's opportunity to help at Midwest Food Bank in Bloomington. A group of 25-30 is needed to help repackage food for distribution to those in need. Contact Bro. Mike Hoffman of any questions.
 
Wednesday 8/19 - Conference Tapes - The Conference theme was “Walking with Christ.”  We will be listening to the first two speakers:  Bro. Rick Plattner (Fairbury) on “Walking in the Strength of His Sacrifice” and Bro. John Laukhuf (Latty) on “Walking in a Living Faith.”
Friday/Saturday 8/21-22 – The Nursing Home Benefit –  There are sign-up sheets on the bulletin board for pies, angel food cakes, coffee and pop donations. There is also a sign-up sheet for clean up after the benefit We appreciate items for the bake sale and the farmer’s market. We are looking for men & boys to help set up tables and chairs in the auction and food tents on Thursday evening (8/20) beginning at 6:00 P.M.
Sunday 8/23 - Fellowship Hall Maintenance Fund Collection
Nursing Home Social Service Coordinator Position - The Nursing Home is seeking someone for the position of Social Service Coordinator to oversee admissions and discharges as well as be a liaison between families, staff and residents.  For additional information, please see Bro. Richard Isaia.



Looking Ahead

Thursday-Saturday 9/10,11,12 - Local World Relief Project  - There will be World Relief work project to re shingle a roof September 10, 11, and 12. Please put these dates on your calendar. Details will follow.
