Update on Planning of the Upcoming Brotherhood Conference the Week of August 8-11
On Thursday, April 20th, at 7:00 p.m. there will be a meeting for all the Roanoke ladies to discuss and sign up for helping with meals during the conference. We will need the support of the entire church and would appreciate and look forward to a very strong turnout of all ages at this meeting. There will be many different opportunities to help - food donations, cooks, waitresses, doing dishes, etc. We are thankful for the opportunity to work with our church family as we serve our Elder brothers and our church.
We also will need a lot of assistance with other aspects of the conference such as ushering, parking, first aid, transcription, etc. The committees have been working to assess their needs and we have set aside 3 Sundays – April 23rd, April 30th and May 7thand will have signup sheets in the North Hall during the lunch hour to choose what areas, days and times you will be able to use your talents to serve. In July, there will be opportunity to sign up for hosting overnight guests. We appreciate your continued prayers as we move forward with the planning.
Looking Ahead
