Nursing Home Emergency Staffing Plan - a potential need for short term workers - Woodford County has seen an increase in individuals testing positive for COVID-19 during the past couple of weeks. Some of the area nursing homes are experiencing staffing issues as their employees must shelter in place for 10 days after they test positive. As the virus seems to inch closer to our community, we feel that it’s time to start implementing our emergency staffing plan in an effort to be as proactive as we can. We are reaching out to our church family for help if we experience staffing issues. We are asking anyone who is willing and able to work at the nursing home temporarily (anywhere from 1 -3 weeks) to please send an email to Bro. Nate at nate@achroanoke.org or call us at 923-2071 and indicate which department you feel you would be able to provide assistance and the times that you would be willing to work. We are currently not allowed to have volunteers in the facility, so these would be paid positions. The departments we could potentially need help in are: Nursing, CNA’s, Housekeeping, Dietary and Activities. Please indicate in your email if you have a license or certification in nursing or a food handler’s certificate. Thank you for considering this. It is our sincere hope and prayer that we will not have to implement this plan. Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we continuously look to God for grace and direction.
COVID Considerations - Cases of COVID have increased in central Illinois and is present in our central Illinois churches. Masks are encouraged, especially during singing. Fellowship time between services should be done outside as much as possible. If you have COVID, please contact Sis. Megan Hodel. She will keep your name confidential, but we need to know the extent of COVID cases in our church as we make plans for our next phase of reopening.
Thank You from the Home - The staff, administration and the board of directors of the nursing home would like to thank the Roanoke congregation for generously supporting another Homecoming Benefit Weekend. God bless each of you for your love and support of our mission.
