Hurricane Harvey Update.  Midwest Food Bank is assisting in the immediate needs from Hurricane Harvey.  HarvestCall will be directly involved in the future with the cleanup and rebuilding efforts. Although HarvestCall is not a first responder, they do provide financial support to organizations who are first responders and have given Midwest Food Bank $100,000 to help with the immediate needs.  Checks can be made out to Harvest Call with "Disaster Relief" in the memo or to Midwest Food Bank.  There will also be opportunities for volunteers to help package items in the coming weeks as this will be a long-term effort.  Most importantly please pray for the following:
  • For those who are suffering from this disaster.
  • For first responders working to evacuate those who are stranded.
  • For safety and passage for those delivering aid.
  • For hearts to recognize that God is the source of help in need and that He will be praised!

Patsy Kaeb.
