●      The fellowship hall has purchased some new chairs to replace the older, brown, light weight folding chairs.  If you would like to have the brown folding chairs, please go to the fellowship hall immediately following Sunday afternoon services.  There will be trustees at the fellowship hall to assist you.  Donations are always appreciated, but not necessary.

●      Recognizing the desire of the congregation and wanting to encourage continued spiritual growth through both formal and informal teaching of biblical truths and principles applicable to our daily living; we have developed a 2012 Plan for Spiritual Teaching.  Copies of the 2012 schedule of spiritual teaching are available in the north hall.  We encourage everyone to pick one up and mark your calendars

●      Helping Hands, formerly referred to as World Relief Sewing will meet Tues. Jan. 3, 9:00-3:00.  The name has been changed to reflect the expanded amount of activity this group does.

●      Our high school Youth Group will be meeting this Wednesday at 7:00 PM at Bro. Scott and Sis. Bev Luginbuhl’s home.  The group will be starting a monthly Bible Study and the study guide will be handed our that evening.  If there is anyone who will not be able to attend that evening but would like a study guide book, they can contact Bro. Scott Luginbuhl or Bro. Dave Leman.

●      Following the expression of support from the congregation, we would like to proceed in seeking God’s direction in selecting an additional minister for our congregation.  This week a letter will be sent to each home along with nominating ballots for each member of that household.  If you are aware of anyone who is or will be leaving for the South and will not be home to receive the letter this week please notify Bro. Tom and include the address where the letter can be sent.  We will have a short exhortation this Wednesday evening reflecting on some scriptures regarding this step.  This is an important step for the Church and it is essential that we spend time with the Lord seeking His direction and will.  May His will be done.

●      In preparing to send the letters out, we are reminded of the need to be sure that any changes to the Church Directory are made.  If you have any changes, please see that the change request card is completed and placed in the box near the North Hall bulletin board or send the change by email to rac_directory@frontier.com

●      When we scheduled Bro. Fred Witzig’s presentation on the historical perspective on the doctrines of Arminianism and Calvinism I failed to check the availability of the Fellowship Hall.  The Fellowship Hall has already been reserved so we are planning to have the presentation at the Country Side School on January 14th at 7:00.  The school is located about 6 miles south of Roanoke.  You turn south on Seventh Street and take County Road 1700 to Route 24.  Cross Route 24 and continue for about two miles and it is on the right side of the road.

●      Lord willing, we are planning to hear the testimonies of Heidi Bradle, Brooke Marcille, and Lauren Schroeder on Saturday, January 21st @ 7:00 with baptisms on Sunday, January 22nd.
