Opportunities to Serve our Nursing Home
The Home is looking for some volunteers to help host the church service on Sunday morning. This could be a once a month commitment. You would come at 9:30 and help set up the room, welcome the residents and hand out the song books and bibles. You are back out to church by 11:00. This church service is very important to the residents, both Apostolic and our community residents. They are no longer able to go to church and they express time and time again how much this service means to them.
We are also putting out a plea to all the churches in Roanoke-Benson area to fill volunteer positions. Many of our older brothers and sisters that have been faithful volunteers for many years, are now unable to help out at the Home because of failing health. It is now time for the next generations to step forward to make this Nursing Home your mission. This can be a 30 minute job to a two hour job once a week or once a month. Please consider using your gifts that the Lord has blessed you with to touch the lives of our elderly. Contact the Home for information on volunteering.
VBS Thank You
Thank you to everyone who participated in Vacation Bible School. There are so many people who helped; it is heartwarming to see the church pull together for this important event.
