Sunday 7/10 - Servant Fund Collection - There are currently 12 single and 18 families who are serving on behalf of our brotherhood in Mexico, Haiti and Jamaica. The majority of these brethren have full time roles that prevent them from holding other gainful employment and are dependent on the Servant Fund.
Sunday 7/17 - Items for Nursing Home Auction Deadline - There is still a need for donations for the Nursing Home Auction. If you intend to contribute an item or service and would like it to be included on the original auction list, please turn in your donation form or contact Sis. Kathy Knapp by next Sunday, July 17.
Sunday 8/14 - Martino/Knapp Wedding - Bro. Kendall Knapp and Sis. Carla Martino greatly appreciate the love and support they have received from this congregation, and they would like to invite each of you to their wedding on August 14th. In lieu of mailing invitations to those who attend church here in Roanoke, one is posted on the bulletin board. If you would be able to join them for the reception, please sign up by July 24th on the list provided there. They sincerely hope you will be able to attend, and children are welcome as well. Saturday 8/6 - Gateway Woods Auction - Anyone that would be willing to donate an item for the auction please contact Bro. Clark or Sis. Lisa Leman who will register your item for the sale. If you would rather give a cash donation the items can be purchased and delivered for you. Volunteers are also needed and welcomed on the day of the sale. Your willingness to give is greatly appreciated!
Haiti Awareness Tour - The next tour is scheduled for September 24-28, 2016. This quick trip includes visiting the Yordy’s, Hospital Lumiere and other AC HarvestCall projects in Haiti. If you are interested, contact Bro Rich Bertschi – lemangm@mtco.com or 467-2351.
Hymns of Zion - the old Hymns of Zion are available for the congregation. Please see one of the trustees if anybody wants some.
Thank You - The Trustees would like to express their appreciation for the giving heart of the Roanoke Church in the recent collection for the chiller project. The funds donated will cover the chiller costs. If anyone did not have opportunity to donate there is still a need for some of the costs related to work needed on the roof. Friday/Saturday 8/26-27 - Nursing Home Benefit
Medical Equipment - The Distribution Center in Goodfield is beginning a new program that will allow people in need of medical equipment to borrow that equipment from the distribution center instead of purchasing it. Items range from a hospital bed to crutches to bathroom safety rails. We are opening the program to church members and their families of the 11 churches that sponsor the Distribution Center. Bro. Ernie Wiegand, is overseeing the program and all requests and questions should be directed to him at ernie.wiegand@yahoo.com. The information about the program is posted on the bulletin board.
